We are always looking for motivated people to work with. The Circadia Lab sits at the intersection of chronobiology, neuroimaging, signal processing, and open research infrastructure — if that sounds like your kind of problem space, we’d love to hear from you.
PhD opportunities
We welcome applications from prospective PhD students interested in chronobiology, sleep science, neuroimaging, actigraphy-based methods, or the development of open research software. Projects typically combine data analysis and software development with a substantive scientific question, and we place a strong emphasis on reproducible, open research practice.
We welcome applications from candidates with their own funding or who are applying to external schemes. We strongly encourage informal contact before submitting a formal application — please get in touch to discuss whether your interests align with current lab directions.
Postdoctoral fellowships
We do not routinely advertise postdoctoral positions, but we actively support strong candidates in applying for independent fellowship funding to join the lab. Relevant schemes include:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (EU/international)
- Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships
- BBSRC, MRC, and EPSRC fellowship schemes
If you are interested in developing a fellowship application with us as the host institution, please reach out with your CV and a brief outline of your research interests.
Visiting researchers
We welcome visiting students and researchers for short stays. If you are interested in a research visit, please contact us to discuss logistics and possible collaborative projects.
